2D at LES means drawn graphics and hand-made animation: the image is drawn, the motion is animated by hand, and the frame is composed by the author. Animation is built in After Effects and Cavalry.

Cube Mosaic
- PROBLEM
- An ordinary image had to become spatial material without collapsing into decorative noise, and the degree of abstraction had to stay a decision rather than an accident.
- NOW
- An add-on reads the picture — brightness, colour, local detail, density — and rebuilds it as controllable geometry, so one source travels from recognisable mosaic to abstraction under a parameter.
- ROLE
- Image analysis, Blender add-on development, procedural geometry and motion.
- TOOLS
- Blender 5.1 / Python API / NumPy / Geometry Nodes

Around this sits a workflow offered as a service. At the input: animation from After Effects, a drawn or hand-animated sequence, or a grey-material render from 3D. At the output: a finished product matched to the client's references, produced through blend2comfy.
Cube Mosaic starts from the same flat surface. The add-on reads an image — brightness, colour, local detail, density — and that reading becomes the material for what follows: mosaic, volume, motion. How space grows out of it is shown in the 3D and LES.PICTURES sections.

FIRST STEP
Start with what you know.
Four questions, and what comes back: what we would take, and which part we would start with.- 01What are we making?
- 02What should it do or change?
- 03What already exists?
- 04Timing, format or constraints?
